| Biography | The alleged son of a famed Atlantic City Wrestling Federation promoter and former tag team champion, the brash but talented Michael Best comes from a heavy background in both amateur and professional wrestling. His father was a multiple time tag team champion with partner Mike Fazoli, collectively known as The Italian Stallions, and by the age of thirteen Michael had visited more countries than some people visit in their lives, immersing himself into the world of professional wrestling head on. After capturing a state division championship for his Newark, New Jersey high school, he went on to graduate at the top of his class with high honors. His teachers and peers had the highest hopes for Newark's brightest young man, but the soul of Michael Best had been tainted with the stink of professional wrestling from the beginning, and it wasn't long before he had laced up his boots for his first professional match, capturing the Atlantic City Middleweight Championship against Johnny Casanova in a clearly impressive debut. He would hold the title for three months, wrestling for both Jon Page's Dynasty Wrestling and his father's own ACWF, until a pressing illness put his beloved father into the hospital. Hanging up his boots, he would not lace them back up for four years, until his father's passing in the year 2007. To cope with the loss of his closest mentor and friend, Mike joined the experimental New Jersey based wrestling organization 'Project: Violence' later that same year, quickly capturing the P:V World Championship with the help of a cocky new attitude and the interference of Mike Fazoli, his father's long time tag team partner. During the Dynasty Wrestling invasion of Project: Violence, the much loved fan favorite shocked the world when he jumped ship, screwing his then employer and ally Jimmy Moretti when he jumped to the aid of Jon Page and Sewaside, former wrestlers of the competing federation, ultimately leading to the downfall of Project: Violence as a whole. With Project: Violence in ruins, Best went on to join an up and coming federation known only as EMPIRE. This would be short lived, however, as during his debut match against former stablemate Curtis Knight, he tore his left rotator cuff and found himself out of action for four months. Upon his return to the ring, Mike quickly jumped on board the join Jon Page/Jimmy Moretti project known as the Sanctioned Violence Organization, capturing the World Championship after a grueling tournament to name the first title holder in the company. Through underhanded tricks and back-up plans, Best was in the midst of an impressive seven month reign as World Champion when he unexpected re-tore his previously injured rotator cuff, subsequently losing the World Championship to Psyko Stevo at Roll the Dice after a hard fought match. After his recovery and a brief scuffle with Stevo at Vendetta, Mike Best found himself once again holding the sVo strap, only to drop it again a month later and subsequently leave the Sanctioned Violence Organization. In mid 2008, Best made a shocking debut into Hostility, brutally attacking longtime rival Julian Fiasco at a taping of Hostile Violence. The jump to HWF was surprising to many, after Mike's longstanding rivalry with the federation and it's owners. However, after being approached by HWF co-owner Mad Max with a deal that resulted in the young prodigy becoming the #1 Contender for the vacant HWF Championship, the stage was set for Aggravated Assault 2008, where the main event was set to crown the new World Champion of the HWF. Though Chris Bond came ahead at the pay-per-view, narrowly edging out the brash young grappler to become the first HWF Champion, Michael was busy mourning a much larger loss. Earlier in the month, during the build up to Aggravated Assault, the world suffered the loss of Morgan Alexander, the girlfriend and longtime playful rival of the most hated man in professional wrestling. She had been found dead in her apartment, a gun shot wound the only lead into what may have happened to her. Over the coming months, Michael would lose several more title matches, but more importantly, would lose a longtime friend and mentor, as in the ultimate act of betrayal it was revealed that Mike Fazoli had been responsible for the murder of Morgan Alexander. Following a heavy breakdown, the emergence of Steven Steele in the HWF lead to MPlow being superkicked out of action of several months. During his time off, mysterious promos began appearing on HWF television, proclaiming that 'Everything Begins Again'. After the abduction of Paige Johnson and Mad Max over a fortnight period, a masked character labeling himself not as a name, but a catchphrase, took HOSTILITY by storm. At South of Heaven, the masked man revealed himself to be none other than Michael Best, winning the Opportunity Knocks match and re-establishing himself as one of HWF's most infamous bad guys. After signing on to the Path to Glory Tour in Summer 2009, Michael went on the warpath in the Dream Wrestling Federation. He conquered the DWF Women's Division, effectively purchasing the title from Miss USA as she made her DWF departure, and along with Jak Nemesis captured the tag team titles. After a successful run with both championships, Best finally lost the Women's Championship to Lora KirK on an edition of Insomnia, after both competitors fell from a steel cage and Lora hit the ground just a half second before the champion. He would contest the loss, citing a lost drug test, but ultimately became barred from the Women's Division at Bashed In the USA after being... wait for it... kidnapped by a crazy Spanish general and threatened with summary execution. Can't make this shit up. After making the #5 draft pick and heading to Slaughter, Best found himself coming up short in the War Gamez Tournament to determine the first DREAM Champion in ten years. However, a shady deal with Mark Zylbert allowed him to cash in a title shot opportunity just moments after Doozer won the famed championship, stealing a win and becoming the world champion of Slaughter. Just a few weeks later, after an 'alleged' battle with 'chicken flu', Best lost the DREAM Championship, shortly afterward taking a month long break from his home federation. Michael Best made his re-emergence on the scene in large fashion however, interfering at ICONIC in December 2009 with a vicious sneak attack on HOW Champion Aceldama. He washed out in the knockout stage of the Lee Best Invitational thanks to interference, leading to an epic match with Christopher America at March 2 Glory. Best would fall into a coma for a week and a half following the event, finding Jesus in himself upon a hapless misdiagnosis from doctors that lead him to believe he had ressurected from the dead. The new found "ChristPlow" defeated Max Kael at the Lethal Lottery on April 8th, bringing home the ICON Title. The surprises wouldn't stop there, however. One week later, on Turmoil, Lee M. Best made ChristPlow a part of High Octane history when he announced that Mike would indeed be a part of his War Games PPV team-- not only that, but he was also the bastard child of the most notorious wrestling promotor in history, Lee Best! Mike would go on to finish fourth in the War Games match, losing his ICON Championship to returning legend Graystone. No worries for the former champion, however, as he would quickly snatch up the mantle of HOW Chairman in the absence of his father, running HOW until Capital Punishment. Shortly after Capital Punishment, Mike Best received a phone call from Mark Zylbert-- it was time to return to his home away from home. Mike Best has a DREAM. |
