DREAM.

We Run This Shit.

Title: First Week as a Bandit Part 1
Featuring: Muru
Date: 2/5/10
Location: Detroit Area

...I made it clear that I was coming to DREAM to be noticed. In one night I went from being nobody to being the talk of the town. The Slaughter title I won on my own with a lot of hard work determination. Charlie Blackwell put up one hell of a fight, but it wasn't enough. Deep down I think he knew he had little chance, but he gave the effort and I think that is why some people weren't happy to see him get egged. That was nothing personal, it was just business. When people mention the Dream Wrestling Federation one group comes to the forefront and that is The Egg Bandits. Some might question the decision to join up with them but from a business standpoint is was the right move. Cancer and Doozer are proven winners and some of the biggest names DREAM has to offer. In an instant things changed for me. I am somebody now and people are taking notice. It also puts a target on my back and I welcome the challenge. In my career I have never taken the easy road and I am not about to do that now. If anyone wants some they can come get some because I am not hiding and I am not backing down from nobody...

[Finally back home after a week in Orlando Muru has a lot of things he needs to do before heading back out on the road. It keeps making less sense for him to keep traveling especially when the excuses he uses aren't really valid. He says he wants to be closer to family, especially his two nieces but he hasn't been making time for anyone. Flying back and forth between Detroit and Orlando is time consuming and keeping up with his workouts are as well. After three years of constantly being on the road he thought this might be a little easy, less of a workload but it isn't turning out to be. Most of that is due to the focus he has on making his DREAM career one to remember. If he was just worrying about himself it wouldn't be so bad but he is an Egg Bandit now. There are certain things that come with that which Muru is about to find out. He got noticed before but now simple trips to the grocery store are,...well see for yourself]

Young Kid: Are you the wrestler Muru?

Muru: Sorry kid, I get that a lot but no...

...I feel bad but I can't be bothered by every fan, I wouldn't have a moment to myself...

Young Kid: Oh, well I bet my older brother that it was him and he laughed at me and called me stupid. He said wrestlers don't go shopping they have people to do that for them.

Muru: I doubt that, I think that is for rich people.

Young Kid: Aren't wrestlers rich?

Muru: Hardly...but you know what kid? Don't let your brother bother you and call you stupid, especially when you are right.

Young Kid: I knew it! I saw you on TV last week. Do you have the belt with you?

Muru: No, it isn't something I carry around.

Young Kid: I am going to tell my brother I was right!

[The youngster walks the few feet to where his brother is waiting with his mother and tells him that it is indeed Muru. His older brother still doesn't believe him so both boys walk back over.]

...Great now there are two of them...

Older Boy: So my brother says that you are Muru. I say it is a bunch of bologna.

Muru: It's the truth. I am just an ordinary guy trying to do some shopping but yes I am Muru.

Older Boy: I still don't believe you, prove it!

Muru: Alright how about an autograph?

Older Boy: That could be fake. You just joined the Egg Bandits right?

Younger Boy: You know he did, we saw it on TV.

Older Boy: Shut up Jimmy! I want to see you egg someone!

Muru: I can't do that...

Older Boy: Why not, isn't that what you do?

Muru: Yeah, I suppose so...but no one here deserves it.

Older Boy: Oh and I guess Charlie Blackwell did?

Muru: It's different, that is business.

Older Boy: This guy is no egg bandit Jimmy, he is a liar!

Young Boy: I thought you said you were Muru?

Muru: I am!

[The older boy puts his arm around his younger brother and they both start walking back towards their mother]

...You going to just let that kid call you a liar?...

...What am I supposed to do? No I can't do that!...

...Come on, it will be fun and you will prove yourself to a fan. Isn't it worth it?...

...Alright...

[Muru grabs something out of his cart and starts heading towards the two boys]

Muru: Hey kid!

[The two boys turn around and the oldest boy is hit square in the chest with an egg]

Older Boy: MOMMY!!!!

[The mother comes rushing to her sons and the eldest one points over to Muru through the tears coming down his face]

Mother: Hey! Did you just throw and egg at my kid? I am calling the police!

[Not sure what else he should do Muru drops the carton of eggs and takes off running]

...Alright so maybe that wasn't such a good idea...

...Ya think?...

[As people are looking around trying to picture together what happened and the mother cleans the egg of her one son the youngest makes his way over to the broken carton of eggs]

Young Kid: Thank you Muru!

...I knew that when I won the Slaughter title that I was going to have to defend more often than not. So stepping back in the ring one week after winning it didn't surprise me. What I am not a fan of is who my opponent is. It seems like Travis Williams thinks that anyone walking in off the streets should just get a title shot. Excuse my language but that is bullshit! Who the hell is Chris Jamez? That is a question I have been asking myself. He just barges in and shows nothing but disrespect and he gets rewarded for it? Seems that an authority figure wouldn't be so easily pushed around but I digress. Jamez is getting his title shot and there isn't much that I can do about it. When I look at the Slaughter championship belt I see all the hard work I put in. Nothing was handed to me and I am proud of what I accomplished. The best part of it was when I look in the mirror I see the face of a man who deserves to be where he is. The Slaughter title means more to me than I can say. While I might have only been in DREAM a month Slaughter is my show. There is no way I am ready to give that up yet...

...So I ask you Chris Jamez, what kind of man are you? You want to bring wrestling back to wrestling right? Bring it back to when it was just one on one and the best man won? I might be wrong but someone with that attitude should know he just can't have anything for free. Jamez you probably think you are a great wrestler, I wouldn't know, and to be honest I don't really care. All I have to go by is the words coming out of your mouth. You are selling a lot of hype and I am not sure I am willing to buy it. For someone who wants to just wrestle and isn't about the other shit should prove how good he is. When you come in demanding to main events shows and knocking other guys for trying to promote themselves you need to see how you do things. Charlie Blackwell and I were all set to put on one hell of a match and the winner was going to get the spotlight. While that did happen I can't help but think people are talking about this new guy who is getting a title shot. You have people talking about you without the use of even one wrestling hold. That seems kind of odd for a man who like you said just wants to wrestle...

...Everything you complained about, all the emotions you seem to have a problem with didn't stop you from taking matters into your own hands. You want to be different and say that you just love to wrestle and that is fine because no one can ever question my love for this business. The minute you barged into the office of Travis Williams you became everything you said you wanted to change. If wrestling is truly about painting a picture and giving your blood sweat and tears then it wouldn't matter which stage is on. The truth is deep down, behind this facade people can see you for what you truly are just another wrestling who will do anything they can to get noticed. That is the one thing I can actually respect about you, well if you weren't trying to lie to the fans and more importantly yourself. All of this aside you still have to step into the ring with me and so far no one in DREAM has been able to beat me. A month ago I was the new guy in town and now I am the guy so I know how quick things can turnaround. When it is all said and done you will have been bitten off more than you can chew. You should have just taken it slow but your attitude will be your downfall because I honestly think you are an arrogant asshole. You believe it fate right? Wait you are fate...so you know exactly how this is going to end. The referee is going to raise my hand in victory because right now no matter what you believe you are not better than me...

...Slaughter isn't only about you and I though Jamez. See it is a big night for The Egg Bandits as a whole. Now I might have just joined but I know how important it is to hold court. When I was extending the invitation to join I was told how important gold was to the image and I take that very seriously. Now I know I won't wear this belt forever (or maybe I will, who knows?) but I do know I am not losing it in my first match after winning it, especially to you. I hope this gets to Chris and that it pisses you off. Sometimes you just have to it and right now I do, I have it in spades. I want to hear what you have to say when your best isn't good enough. Now how is that for a kick in the ass by fate?...
